01 — The difference

A printer that answers, not a checkout that guesses

An online bulk uploader

  • — Price quoted before anyone has looked at your artwork
  • — No proof, or a proof you cannot change
  • — Color "close enough" to your brand guide

  • — Reorder next year does not match this year

Boring Tees

  • — A human reviews your art before quoting it
  • — Digital proof, revised until you approve it
  • — Pantone matched to your actual brand values
  • 786-302-9144 reaches someone who knows your job
  • — Artwork, inks and garments documented for the reorder
  • — We will point you to the cheaper method, even when it earns us less

02 — Serving Fort Lauderdale

Why Fort Lauderdale orders look the way they do

Boring Tees is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, producing custom apparel for local businesses, organizations, teams and groups. Production is based in Fort Lauderdale, and there is no public retail storefront or walk-in location — orders come in by phone or through the quote form, get confirmed with a digital proof, and ship out to whatever address you give us.

What makes Fort Lauderdale a distinct market is its business mix. This is a city built around boating and marine services, beachfront hospitality, and a steady calendar of festivals, boat shows and community events, alongside the ordinary base of local offices, sports leagues and clubs every city has. Those groups tend to need different things from a printer: a marina or brokerage wants a polo that reads as uniform rather than giveaway, a restaurant or hotel wants a front-of-house tee that survives a laundering cycle, and an event organizer wants a full-color design turned into a staff or vendor shirt without a six-color screen print bill.

That is why we offer all three decoration methods rather than pushing one. Screen printing is the cheapest route at volume for a one- or two-color logo. DTF handles full-color and photographic artwork with no per-color setup, which usually makes it the better call on smaller Fort Lauderdale orders. Embroidery is the right choice for polos, uniforms and anything a business or professional team wears repeatedly. Twelve pieces is the minimum on any order, mixed freely across sizes, and nothing goes to production until you approve a digital proof showing the actual placement and colors.

03 — How it works

Four steps. You do two of them.

Turnaround is measured from proof approval, not from your first email — which means getting final artwork to us early is the single biggest thing you control.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Quantity, garment, artwork and your date. If you do not know which print method fits, say so — recommending one is part of the quote, not an upsell.

  2. 02

    You get a real quote

A written number, broken out so you can see what the garments cost, what the setup costs and what each print location adds. Not a range, and not "starting at."

  3. 03

    Approve the digital proof

We send a proof showing exact placement, dimensions and colors on the garment color you picked. Nothing goes to press until you sign off. The production clock starts here.

  4. 04

It prints and ships to you

Screen printing and embroidery run 10–14 business days, DTF 5–7. A 5-day rush is available for 20% more. Shipping is quoted with the job, not tacked on at the end.

04 — Who we print for

Built for how Fort Lauderdale actually orders

Fort Lauderdale businesses & offices

Company tees, client-event shirts and staff apparel for local offices and professional firms. One-color logos screen print cheaply at volume; full-color brand marks are usually cheaper as DTF at lower quantities.

Hospitality, restaurants & bars

Front-of-house tees and back-of-house work shirts for restaurants, bars and hotels. Reorders in a matching colorway are the recurring request, so ink colors and garment styles get documented on the first order.

Marine & boating-related businesses

Marinas, brokerages, charter operators and boat show vendors need apparel that reads as professional on the water and off it. Embroidered polos hold up to sun and saltwater exposure better than a printed logo does.

Event organizers & festivals

Staff and vendor shirts for the area's boat shows, festivals and community events. Fixed event dates mean the proof cycle needs to start early rather than the week before.

Clubs, sports & recreation groups

League jerseys, club tees and tournament shirts for recreational and sports groups. A shared crest across multiple teams is one setup, not one per team, which is where the savings hide.

Company teams & organizations

Team-building event shirts, retreat apparel and organization merch for Fort Lauderdale groups. Twelve pieces is reachable for a small team; the same minimum applies at any scale above it.

05 — Methods

Three ways to put your logo on a garment

Screen Printing

14" × 17" max imprint · 10–14 business days

Ink pushed through a stencil, one screen per color. Cheapest per piece at volume on one- and two-color designs, and the most durable finish we offer. Setup is charged per color per location.

Embroidery

Digitized once per logo · 10–14 business days

Stitched directly into the garment. The right choice for polos, quarter-zips, caps and anything worn to work — it survives industrial laundering that would crack a print. Cannot render gradients or hairline type.

DTF Printing

13" × 19" max imprint · 5–7 business days

Full-color transfer heat-pressed onto the garment. No per-color setup, so photographs, gradients and complex artwork cost the same as a one-color logo. Usually the cheapest option under 100 pieces.

06 — What drives your price

No per-shirt price list, because it would be a lie

Anyone quoting you a flat per-shirt number before seeing your artwork is guessing, and the guess is usually low. Four things set the price, and we will show you all four broken out on your quote.

Quantity
Setup is a fixed cost spread across the run, so the per-piece price falls sharply as the order grows. Minimum is 12 pieces, mixed across sizes.
Ink colors
Screen printing charges a setup per color per location. DTF charges none — which is why full-color designs often come out cheaper as DTF below about 100 pieces.
Print locations
Front, back and sleeve are three locations, each its own setup and press pass. The same artwork reused at the same size and colors is charged setup once, not three times.
Garment
The blank is often the largest line on the invoice, especially on fleece and outerwear. We will show you two or three options at different price points rather than picking for you.

+20%5-business-day rush, when the calendar requires it.

07 — Questions

Custom T-Shirt Printing in Fort Lauderdale, answered

Yes. Boring Tees is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and every order is produced here. There is no public retail storefront or walk-in location — orders are placed by phone or through the quote form, confirmed with a digital proof, and shipped directly to your address, office or venue.

Twelve pieces total per order, mixed freely across sizes. That is the same minimum that applies everywhere we ship, not a higher bar for orders going to Florida.

Screen printing, DTF (direct-to-film) printing and embroidery — the same three methods we offer every customer. Screen printing suits one- or two-color designs at volume, DTF suits full-color and smaller runs, and embroidery suits polos, uniforms and anything worn repeatedly. Send your artwork and quantity and we will recommend one rather than defaulting to whichever is easiest for us.

Yes, through DTF. It transfers unlimited colors and gradients onto the garment with no per-color setup fee, which is why it usually costs less than screen printing on a full-color or photographic design at lower quantities.

Standard production is 10 to 14 business days for screen printing and embroidery, and 5 to 7 business days for DTF, counted from the moment you approve the digital proof. A 5-day rush is available for a 20% surcharge. Every order ships via standard carrier once production is complete — we will give you an honest shipping estimate once we know your method and address.

Yes. Embroidery is a common choice for polos, uniforms and branded apparel for offices, hospitality teams and marine businesses that need a garment to read as professional rather than promotional. Thread holds up to repeated washing and sun exposure better than a printed logo, which matters for anything worn on a regular schedule.
