Why Bethesda orders look the way they do
Bethesda buys embroidery more than it buys printed tees, and the reason is the dress code. In all of those settings a branded garment has to look like part of a uniform, not like a giveaway.
Stitching solves that. An embroidered left-chest logo on a performance polo or a quarter-zip reads as considered rather than promotional, holds its shape through commercial laundering, and does not crack after a season the way a print eventually will. It also survives a badge lanyard, which is a genuine daily consideration for anyone working on a hospital or research campus.
The tradeoff is that embroidery cares about your logo more than printing does. Fine gradients, hairline type and dense detail do not survive at left-chest scale in thread. We digitize the file, show you a stitch proof, and tell you before production if an element needs to be simplified — which is better than discovering it on 200 finished polos.

Screen printing and embroidery run 10–14 business days, DTF 5–7. A 5-day rush is available for 20% more. Shipping is quoted with the job, not tacked on at the end.

Three ways to put your logo on a garment
Screen Printing

Ink pushed through a stencil, one screen per color. Cheapest per piece at volume on one- and two-color designs, and the most durable finish we offer. Setup is charged per color per location.

Digitized once per logo · 10–14 business days
Stitched directly into the garment. The right choice for polos, quarter-zips, caps and anything worn to work — it survives industrial laundering that would crack a print. Cannot render gradients or hairline type.

13" × 19" max imprint · 5–7 business days
Full-color transfer heat-pressed onto the garment. No per-color setup, so photographs, gradients and complex artwork cost the same as a one-color logo. Usually the cheapest option under 100 pieces.

No per-shirt price list, because it would be a lie
Anyone quoting you a flat per-shirt number before seeing your artwork is guessing, and the guess is usually low. Four things set the price, and we will show you all four broken out on your quote.
- Quantity
- Setup is a fixed cost spread across the run, so the per-piece price falls sharply as the order grows. Minimum is 12 pieces, mixed across sizes.
- Ink colors
- Screen printing charges a setup per color per location. DTF charges none — which is why full-color designs often come out cheaper as DTF below about 100 pieces.
- Print locations
- Front, back and sleeve are three locations, each its own setup and press pass. The same artwork reused at the same size and colors is charged setup once, not three times.
- Garment
- The blank is often the largest line on the invoice, especially on fleece and outerwear. We will show you two or three options at different price points rather than picking for you.
