01 — The difference

A printer that answers, not a checkout that guesses

An online bulk uploader

  • — Price quoted before anyone has looked at your artwork
  • — No proof, or a proof you cannot change
  • — Color "close enough" to your brand guide
  • — Support is a ticket queue in another time zone
  • — Reorder next year does not match this year

Boring Tees

  • — A human reviews your art before quoting it
  • — Digital proof, revised until you approve it
  • — Pantone matched to your actual brand values
  • 786-302-9144 reaches someone who knows your job
  • — Artwork, inks and garments documented for the reorder
  • — We will point you to the cheaper method, even when it earns us less

02 — Serving DC

Why DC orders look the way they do

No city in the country buys more branded apparel per capita than Washington. The reason is structural: DC runs on organizations that gather people. Trade associations hold annual meetings, advocacy groups run days of action, universities graduate cohorts, agencies onboard contractors, and campaigns spin up field teams that need shirts by the weekend. Every one of those moments ends with somebody hunting for a printer.

What makes DC orders different is the approval chain. A shirt for a member association has to survive a communications director, a brand guide with locked Pantone values, and often a board. That is why we lead with a digital proof and PMS matching rather than "we'll get close." It is also why we quote setup costs per design and per location up front — so when the scope changes from a one-color left chest to a two-color full front, nobody is surprised by the invoice.

We print in College Park and ship to every quadrant. There is no storefront to visit and no parking to find in Dupont, which for most DC clients turns out to be the point.

Printed in College Park, Maryland — about 25 minutes from DC — and shipped to your address, your office or your venue. We are appointment-only and do not run a walk-in counter, so there is nothing to drive to and no showroom hours to work around.

03 — How it works

Four steps. You do two of them.

Turnaround is measured from proof approval, not from your first email — which means getting final artwork to us early is the single biggest thing you control.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Quantity, garment, artwork and your date. If you do not know which print method fits, say so — recommending one is part of the quote, not an upsell.

  2. 02

    You get a real quote

A written number, broken out so you can see what the garments cost, what the setup costs and what each print location adds. Not a range, and not "starting at."

  3. 03

    Approve the digital proof

We send a proof showing exact placement, dimensions and colors on the garment color you picked. Nothing goes to press until you sign off. The production clock starts here.

  4. 04

It prints and ships to you

Screen printing and embroidery run 10–14 business days, DTF 5–7. A 5-day rush is available for 20% more. Shipping is quoted with the job, not tacked on at the end.

04 — Who we print for

Built for how DC actually orders

Trade associations & member groups

Annual meeting tees, volunteer polos and board retreat quarter-zips. Locked brand guides are normal here — send the PMS values and the logo lockup and we will match them rather than approximate them.

Advocacy groups & nonprofits

Day-of-action shirts, canvasser tees, 5K and gala merch. One-color screen prints on a 12-piece minimum keep unit costs low enough that the shirts do not eat the program budget.

Universities & student organizations

Georgetown, GW, Howard, American, Catholic and UDC groups order in bursts — rush week, homecoming, orientation, capstone. We keep the art on file so the reorder is a phone call, not a fresh setup.

Federal contractors & consultancies

Embroidered polos and softshells for onboarding kits, plus booth staff apparel for conferences at the Convention Center. Embroidery holds up to a badge lanyard better than a print does.

Restaurants, bars & hospitality

Front-of-house tees and back-of-house work shirts across H Street, Shaw and the Wharf. Reorders in the same colorway matter more than novelty, so we keep screens and thread colors documented.

Churches & community organizations

Youth group shirts, mission trip apparel, mutual aid and community day tees. Straightforward one- and two-color jobs that need to land on a date, not a "soon."

05 — Methods

Three ways to put your logo on a garment

Screen Printing

14" × 17" max imprint · 10–14 business days

Ink pushed through a stencil, one screen per color. Cheapest per piece at volume on one- and two-color designs, and the most durable finish we offer. Setup is charged per color per location.

Embroidery

Digitized once per logo · 10–14 business days

Stitched directly into the garment. The right choice for polos, quarter-zips, caps and anything worn to work — it survives industrial laundering that would crack a print. Cannot render gradients or hairline type.

DTF Printing

13" × 19" max imprint · 5–7 business days

Full-color transfer heat-pressed onto the garment. No per-color setup, so photographs, gradients and complex artwork cost the same as a one-color logo. Usually the cheapest option under 100 pieces.

06 — What drives your price

No per-shirt price list, because it would be a lie

Anyone quoting you a flat per-shirt number before seeing your artwork is guessing, and the guess is usually low. Four things set the price, and we will show you all four broken out on your quote.

Quantity
Setup is a fixed cost spread across the run, so the per-piece price falls sharply as the order grows. Minimum is 12 pieces, mixed across sizes.
Ink colors
Screen printing charges a setup per color per location. DTF charges none — which is why full-color designs often come out cheaper as DTF below about 100 pieces.
Print locations
Front, back and sleeve are three locations, each its own setup and press pass. The same artwork reused at the same size and colors is charged setup once, not three times.
Garment
The blank is often the largest line on the invoice, especially on fleece and outerwear. We will show you two or three options at different price points rather than picking for you.

12 piecesMinimum order, mixed freely across sizes.

+20%5-business-day rush, when the calendar requires it.

$35Art change fee, if the design moves after approval.

07 — Questions

Custom T-Shirt Printing in DC, answered

Everything ships. We print in College Park, Maryland and send orders through standard carriers to any DC address — office, home, or a venue loading dock. Shipping is quoted with the job so there is no separate charge appearing at the end. We do not run a walk-in counter, so there is nothing to drive into the District for and nothing to park for.

Standard turnaround is 10 to 14 business days for screen printing and embroidery, and 5 to 7 business days for DTF, counted from the moment you approve the digital proof — not from when you first email us. If your event date is tighter than that, we offer a 5-day rush for a 20% surcharge. Tell us the event date in your first message and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable before you commit.

Yes. Send the Pantone (PMS) values from your brand guide and we will mix to them for screen printing. This matters more in DC than most markets because association and agency brand standards are typically enforced. If you only have a hex code or a logo file, we will convert it and show you the closest match on the proof before anything gets printed.

Twelve pieces total per order, across all sizes. You can mix sizes freely inside that twelve — six mediums, four larges and two XLs is one order, not three. The same minimum applies whether you are a fifteen-person advocacy team or an association ordering for a thousand-person annual meeting.

We can. In-house design starts at $50 per hour and includes two rounds of revisions, and we will give you an estimate of the hours before starting. If you already have something — even a rough sketch or a logo pulled from your website — send it along, because starting from your idea is almost always cheaper than starting from a blank page.

For a one- or two-color logo on fifty or more shirts, screen printing gives the best unit cost and the most durable result. For a full-color design, a photograph, or a smaller run, DTF handles unlimited colors without per-color setup fees. For polos, quarter-zips and caps that people will wear to meetings, embroidery reads as more finished. We will recommend one when we see your art and quantity — the recommendation is free and we would rather steer you to the cheaper method than lose the reorder.
