01 — The difference
A printer that answers, not a checkout that guesses
An online bulk uploader
- — Price quoted before anyone has looked at your artwork
- — No proof, or a proof you cannot change
- — Color "close enough" to your brand guide
- — Support is a ticket queue in another time zone
- — Reorder next year does not match this year
Boring Tees
- — A human reviews your art before quoting it
- — Digital proof, revised until you approve it
- — Pantone matched to your actual brand values
- — 786-302-9144 reaches someone who knows your job
- — Artwork, inks and garments documented for the reorder
- — We will point you to the cheaper method, even when it earns us less
02 — Serving Fairfax
Why Fairfax orders look the way they do
Fairfax County apparel skews toward garments people wear repeatedly rather than once. Work shirts for the trades and service companies operating out of Springfield and Chantilly. Polos for HOAs, community associations and county-adjacent organizations. School and athletics apparel across the county system and George Mason. Caps for youth leagues that will see a full season of sun and sweat.
That repetition is why embroidery dominates here. A printed logo on a shirt worn five days a week and washed just as often starts cracking within a season. Stitching does not — it stays legible through years of industrial laundering, which is the entire argument for paying more per piece up front.
The constraint is the artwork. Embroidery cannot render a gradient or hold hairline type at left-chest scale; thread has a minimum thickness and that is physics rather than effort. We digitize your logo, run a stitch proof, and flag anything that needs simplifying before production — which is a much better conversation than the one that happens after 150 finished polos.

03 — How it works
Four steps. You do two of them.
Turnaround is measured from proof approval, not from your first email — which means getting final artwork to us early is the single biggest thing you control.
- 01
Tell us what you need
Quantity, garment, artwork and your date. If you do not know which print method fits, say so — recommending one is part of the quote, not an upsell.
- 02
You get a real quote
A written number, broken out so you can see what the garments cost, what the setup costs and what each print location adds. Not a range, and not "starting at."
- 03
Approve the digital proof
We send a proof showing exact placement, dimensions and colors on the garment color you picked. Nothing goes to press until you sign off. The production clock starts here.
- 04
It prints and ships to you
Screen printing and embroidery run 10–14 business days, DTF 5–7. A 5-day rush is available for 20% more. Shipping is quoted with the job, not tacked on at the end.
04 — Who we print for
Built for how Fairfax actually orders
Trades & service companies
Embroidered work shirts, jackets and caps for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping and construction crews. Stitching stays legible through years of industrial laundering; printing does not.
HOAs & community associations
Board and volunteer polos, community event apparel, pool and clubhouse staff shirts. Predictable annual reorders where thread colors documented on order one save an argument in year three.
George Mason groups & departments
Department polos, student organization apparel, conference and recruiting-event garments. Digitize the crest once and reuse the file across every garment and every year.
County schools & athletics
Crested polos, coach and faculty apparel, team warmups and booster merchandise. School crests carry detail, so the digitizing step is where the quality is won or lost.
Youth leagues & sports clubs
Embroidered caps, coach polos and club outerwear. Caps are the one garment where embroidery clearly beats printing — the curve and the seam defeat a flat print.
Professional & medical offices
Practice polos, scrub jackets and front-desk apparel across Fairfax City, Merrifield and Fair Oaks. Personalized names under the logo are a per-piece add rather than a new setup.
05 — Methods
Three ways to put your logo on a garment
Screen Printing
14" × 17" max imprint · 10–14 business days
Ink pushed through a stencil, one screen per color. Cheapest per piece at volume on one- and two-color designs, and the most durable finish we offer. Setup is charged per color per location.
More on Screen Printing→Embroidery
Digitized once per logo · 10–14 business days
Stitched directly into the garment. The right choice for polos, quarter-zips, caps and anything worn to work — it survives industrial laundering that would crack a print. Cannot render gradients or hairline type.
More on Embroidery→DTF Printing
13" × 19" max imprint · 5–7 business days
Full-color transfer heat-pressed onto the garment. No per-color setup, so photographs, gradients and complex artwork cost the same as a one-color logo. Usually the cheapest option under 100 pieces.
More on DTF Printing→06 — What drives your price
No per-shirt price list, because it would be a lie
Anyone quoting you a flat per-shirt number before seeing your artwork is guessing, and the guess is usually low. Four things set the price, and we will show you all four broken out on your quote.
- Quantity
- Setup is a fixed cost spread across the run, so the per-piece price falls sharply as the order grows. Minimum is 12 pieces, mixed across sizes.
- Ink colors
- Screen printing charges a setup per color per location. DTF charges none — which is why full-color designs often come out cheaper as DTF below about 100 pieces.
- Print locations
- Front, back and sleeve are three locations, each its own setup and press pass. The same artwork reused at the same size and colors is charged setup once, not three times.
- Garment
- The blank is often the largest line on the invoice, especially on fleece and outerwear. We will show you two or three options at different price points rather than picking for you.
12 piecesMinimum order, mixed freely across sizes.
